Day 1

Route: Delhi – Thimphu

  • Upon arrival at Paro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your guide and driver. After immigration formalities, enjoy a scenic drive to Thimphu, following the beautiful Paro and Thimphu river valleys with stops along the way for photos and short breaks.
  • After check-in and some time to refresh, begin exploring Thimphu with visits to the local vegetable market, the National Library which houses ancient Buddhist manuscripts, and the impressive Tashichho Dzong, the seat of Bhutan’s government and monastic body.
  • Evening free to stroll around town or relax at the hotel.

 

Day 2

Route: Thimphu

  • After breakfast, begin a full day of sightseeing in Bhutan’s capital. Visit Buddha Dordenma for panoramic valley views, followed by Memorial Chorten where locals gather daily for prayer.
  • Continue to the Mini Zoo to see Bhutan’s national animal, the Takin, and then visit the Institute for Zorig Chusum (Art and Craft School) where students learn Bhutan’s thirteen traditional arts.
  • In the afternoon, enjoy a gentle 1–2 hour scenic hike from BBS Tower to Dechenphodrang Monastery through peaceful pine forests.
  • Evening at leisure.

 

Day 3

Route: Thimphu – Punakha

  • After breakfast, drive toward Punakha via the spectacular Dochula Pass at 3,100 meters. On a clear day, enjoy breathtaking views of the Himalayan ranges and the famous 108 stupas.
  • Descend into Punakha Valley and visit Chimi Lhakhang, known as the Temple of Fertility, reached by a pleasant walk through rice fields and village paths.
  • Continue to the majestic Punakha Dzong, one of Bhutan’s most beautiful fortresses, located at the meeting point of two rivers.
  • In the afternoon, enjoy a scenic hike to Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten, offering sweeping views of the valley.

 

Day 4

Route: Punakha – Phobjikha

  • After breakfast, drive toward the peaceful Phobjikha Valley, a wide glacial valley known for its scenic beauty and traditional lifestyle.
  • Visit Gangtey Monastery, one of Bhutan’s most important Nyingma monasteries. Afterwards, enjoy a relaxed nature walk along the Gangtey Nature Trail with beautiful views across the valley.
  • Visit the Crane Information Center to learn about the valley’s unique ecology and conservation efforts before returning to the guest house for the evening.

 

Day 5

Route: Phobjikha Valley

  • Today is dedicated to exploring the valley at a relaxed pace. Enjoy short nature walks, photography opportunities, and visits to local farmhouses to experience rural Bhutanese life.
  • This is a peaceful day to enjoy the natural beauty, fresh air, and quiet surroundings of Phobjikha Valley.

 

Day 6

Route: Phobjikha – Paro

  • After breakfast, drive back to Paro, enjoying scenic stops along the way. After lunch, explore Paro town, visiting local handicraft shops and riverside areas.
  • In the afternoon, visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest and most sacred temples in Bhutan.
  • Evening at leisure or optional farmhouse visit or hot stone bath.

 

Day 7

Route: Paro

  • After breakfast, begin the hike to the famous Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Taktsang), Bhutan’s most iconic landmark, perched dramatically on a cliffside.
  • After returning and lunch, relax or explore Paro town exploring local handicraft stores and cafés at a comfortable pace.
  • In the evening, enjoy a ceremonial farewell dinner, celebrating your journey in Bhutan with traditional cuisine and a warm Bhutanese atmosphere.
  • Evening free to rest and prepare for departure.

 

Day 8

Route: Departure

After breakfast, transfer to Paro International Airport for your onward journey.
